Savings Account

Whether you’re saving for a major purchase, a life changing event or even a rainy day, regular saving is a good idea. When it’s with Community Resource FCU, it’s a great idea!

Your primary Savings Account is the foundation of your credit union membership. When you open a primary Savings Account, often called a Share Savings account, you’re not just a new customer. You’re a new owner. Once you have opened your account, all of the services that Community Resource Federal Credit Union has to offer are at your fingertips. A primary Savings Account is $5 to open and required to maintain your membership with the credit union.

Deposits can be made through Direct Deposit to ensure savings growth. And each account is federally insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).

Certificates are a good way to save and earn money over time. Certificates have a number of available options so you can choose the length of time you want to invest your money. The minimum deposit amount is $500, however, we have a special 12-month Lucky Savers Certificate that can be purchased for only $25! When your certificate matures, it can be cashed in or automatically renewed based on your investment goals. Speak to a Financial Service Representative for all available options.

IRA Certificates are deposits that are similar to bank CDs. These accounts require you to keep your money invested for a set period of time, called the term. In return, you’ll receive a higher rate of interest than in a regular savings account. The term for IRA Certificates ranges between six (6) months and five (5) years with longer terms paying higher interest.

We are pleased to offer both Roth and Traditional IRAs. No matter where you are in life, saving now with an IRA can better prepare you for your future. Whether you are beginning your career, planning for your family, or you are about to retire, it’s never too late to start saving with a Traditional IRA or Roth IRA. Speak with a Financial Service Representative for all available options.

Like your regular savings account, Money Markets are safe, insured and offer easy access for deposits and withdrawals. Money Markets also offer distinct advantages over regular savings, including higher dividend rates and check-writing ability. If you want to earn more dividends and still have easy account access, especially if you tend to keep a larger amount of money in savings, a Money Market may be for you.
