Savings accounts in jars for savings retirement and education

Whether your’re saving for a major purchase, a life changing event or even a rainy day, regular saving is a good idea. When it’s with Community Resource FCU, it’s a great idea! With Community Resource, you’re a member and a part owner of a local, community financial cooperative.

Your primary share account is the foundation of your credit union membership. When you open a Share Savings account, you’re not just a new customer. You’re a new owner. A primary share account is the same as a savings account. Once you have a primary share account all of the services that Community Resource Federal Credit Union has to offer are at your fingertips. A Regular Share Account is $5 to open and required to maintain your membership with the credit union.

This account is an excellent foundation for establishing savings habits. We encourage members to have a set amount allotted to their account each pay period. This way your share savings balance will grow. As your savings grow they can be moved into higher-yielding share certificates.

Deposits can be made through Direct Deposit to ensure savings growth and your funds are federally insured up to $250,000 by the NCUA.

Share certificates are a good way to save and earn money over time. Certificates have a number of available options so you can choose the length of time you want to invest your money. The minimum deposit amount is $1,000, however, we have a 12-month certificate that can be purchased for $500. Another benefit that may fit your investment options is our 9-month certificate which allows for a one-time penalty-free withdrawal (not available on IRAs). When your certificate matures, it can be cashed or automatically renewed based on your investment goals.

Fixed rate IRA Certificates with terms from 6 to 60 months are available. Minimum investment of $500.00. Dividends are computed daily and paid monthly. Speak with one of our Member Service Representatives and begin saving for the future now.

We are pleased to offer both Roth and Traditional IRAs. No matter where you are in life, saving now with an IRA can better prepare you for your future. Whether you are beginning your career, planning for your family, or you are about to retire, it’s never too late to start saving with a Traditional IRA or Roth IRA.
